If you are looking for a relaxing hike that escapes the morning and evening hours of the sun, and is typically not traveled by tourist than Courthouse Wash Trail may be the hike your are seeking. This is not a strenuous hike as there are no steep climbs or increases in elevation but if you plan on hiking the entire trail then it will be time consuming. The entire hike is 5 1/2 miles long and there are no bathrooms along the trail. Poison Ivy is not really a problem but bugs few times throughout the year can be thick in this wash trail. You might also be required to get your feet wet by crossing the wash a time or two but the water typically doesn't come past your ankles. Soil erosion from the wash reveals more types of rocks than just the red rocks of Moab. Rock hounders will probably not find anything of value but you might spot some types of Agate if you are on the lookout.
